How long does the Skyrail cableway take?
Allow 1 ½ hours to complete a standard one-way Skyrail experience or up to 2 hours for a one-way Diamond View experience. For a return (round-trip) standard experience, allow 2 ½ hours plus time to spend in Kuranda Village.
Is it better to go up or down the Kuranda Skyrail?
As far as the views from the Skyrail go, there are fantastic views to be had in both directions, but the gondolas have a 360 degree view so the view is the same regardless of which direction you travel. You are free to swap seats to the other side so you can look ahead or behind as you desire.

Is Kuranda railway worth it?
The scenic railway was brilliant with some great views, but we did go at a very quiet time. I can imagine the carriages would be horrendously cramped at busy peak times. The rail journey does go on for a very long time and does get a little tedious towards the end.
